1997 Pontiac Sunfire oil light

When the car is at idle the check oil light come on. I have checked the oil it's full. Was told need to change oil sending sensor. IF true where can I find it?

Hi:
Chances are the oil sending unit is the problem, unless you hear knocking and ticking from the engine when the light is on. It should be near the oil filter on the car. It will have one plug going to it and it's easy to replace.
