My sunfire daytime running lights and high beams are the only lights that function. The head lights work when I hold lever toward me with slight pressure. This happened before and a friend changed the whole lever with a junkyard part. He is no longer with us. I beleive I have to change the lever or switch but don' t know how. I need to know how to access the switch and do I have to disable the airbag when I attempt the fix. I need to know what part to ask the junk yard for. PLEASE LET ME KNOW? Thank you

The switch is called the turn siganal/ light swich they are both the same thing. You would have to disable the air bags by dis connecting the postive cable from the battery and then the switch itself is behind the steering wheel. So you gotta take off the steering wheel to get to it. There is les then 3 bolts and a wiring harness that holds it in. But be sure to dis arm the air bags. And to install is in the reverse order
