97 sunfire here is my issue last june my engine would crank but won't catch replaced fuel pump ignition wires in steering column engine replaced 2 years ago when car cranks and catches runs great never cuts off once it starts and it will run fine for periods of time without this problem if you let car sit anywhere from 15 min to an entire day it will start no problem what could be causing this
