Noises problem
1997 Pontiac Sunfire 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

my car made a strange noise and then you smelled something hot like rubber burning and then i turned it off and then it wouldn't start back up again

What is it doing? -cranking over and will not start or just won't crank at all/nothing when you turn key to start position

it does nothing.......at all

No crank at all/nothing/nada when key is engage to starting position

Could be a blown fusible link, the starter, starter relay,park and neutral switch and ignition switch assuming the battery and connections are good.
