1996 Pontiac Sunfire oil pump

1996 Pontiac Sunfire 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

i am trying to get to oil pump to put in a new one. My question is, the bolts at the front of the pan. How do I get to them, do I have to take that big brace off from the frame that craddles the pan and if so. Any instructions. I am deeply in your debt. Thank you in advance.
