1995 Pontiac Sunfire
----------------------------------------------------------------
Hello, I am trying to remove a seized up spark plug. I let it soak over night in PB Blaster but it still does not want to move. When I put the socket on the spark plug it grips a little then the socket spins but not the plug. It is a new socket also. Is it possible to go from underneath in order to loosen it. I have 3 new plugs put in but the last one is not and the tip is broken off, Can that still be drivable temporarly? When I try to start my car it wants to turn over but then it quits. Is it because of the bad broken plug or do I have the firing order messed up?

This is exactly the thing thing that I fear most when selling a spark plug change. Convincing someone that this scenario could happen versus them saying, "thier good for 100,000 miles ya know" drives me crazy.

Anyways, you gotta get it out. IF I were you, I'd hang my head and take it to a shop with a guy that is capable of removing it. IT may be too late, and the head may have to come off.

Sounds like it is seized and the hex is rounded. YOu can try the next smaller socket and tap it on and hope....
