1995 Pontiac Sunfire

I have a 95 Pontiac sunfire and I am not sure of the mileage. It is a 2.2. I tried to start it but it backfired, and I think It may have jumped time. How do I set it back. Does the crank and cam sprockets have timing marks on them that have to be lined up?

Most Ford cabin air filters are accessed through the cowl area under the windshield but according to alldata, that model is not equipped with a cabin air filter...
