Disengaging the AC

My car is making a funny sound that seems to be related directly to the amount of gas that you give the car; Rev it and it increases, etc. Needless to say, it sounds terrible. I was told that it is some part of the AC system that is causing this noise regardless of if the ac is actually turned on from the dash. Question is if I can just disengage this so it does not get any power and therefore not cause the noise? I understand that I could lose the use of my AC but considering I only would be tempted to us it for a whole two months (life in Canada), I don’t think it is really worth the $$ to replace. So is it possible to run the car without the AC or is it attached to something else that I’m not aware of?

Take off the belts one at a time and start the car for a few seconds. You can tell when the problem goes away. The A/C bearing, the idler pully or a water pump could be the culpret. Let me know
