My car started knocking after an Oil Change (At Wal-Mart!). The preliminary diagnosis is that a Rod is bad, possibly ruining the Crankshaft. The car has not lost any performance, aside from the knocking (not very loud yet). My question: If a rod is injured, would the car keep running?

Thx,
TC

Yes, it will keep running till the knock increases in sound and possibly or probably causes other internal damage(s) like punching a hole in a Piston or scarring a Cylinder.
"Sounds" like the wrong weight of Oil as in too thin or not enough.
Wal mart is NOT a place to have ANY service done on ANY vehicle for ANY reason.
