my 94 sunbird in the past 6-8 months...I'll drive somewhere Go in for 10 - 60 minutes, come out try to start my car and get no crank, noise nothing whatsoever..everything else works..all the lights on dash that should be lit are and all that shouldnt, are not..I noticed it will start like nothing was ever wrong after the temp gauge bottoms out.. but it was never hot or close to hot to begin with.I dont even know where to start..oil is good water level is fine, I gave it a tune up and it made no difference..everything works well when its running..its a great car up to this point what do I do now.

First thing i would do is make sure your battery cable's are clean and tight. Also have your battery and alternator tested just to be on the safe side. Also do you have a multimeter we can do some test's when it doesn't start?

What they mean by heat soaked starter is just when it get's hot the winding's of the starter fail or the solenoid stick's or fail's.Good possibility it could be the starter though. But we will have to test it when it doesn't start to make sure that's what it is.So do you have a multimeter? We will need one to do some testing when it doesn't start.

I emailed you the trouble and wire diagram for your starter to your personal email. You will have to do the trouble tree when the car is hot and doesn't start.
