Hello duncan08

the mark on the camshaft sprocket must line up with the mark on the rear timing belt cover on the 2.0L engine. The timing mark on the crankshaft pulley should line up at 10 ° BTDC on the indicator scale.

WARNING
Do not turn the camshaft. Use only the crankshaft nut to turn. Turning the nut on the camshaft directly can damage the camshaft bearings.
12. Rotate the water pump clockwise using Tool J-33039 until all slack is removed from the belt. Slightly tighten the water pump retaining bolts.

You must modify tool J-33039 to tighten the timing belt

Install Tool J-26486 between the water pump and camshaft sprockets so that the pointer is midway between the sprockets.

Timing belt adjustment tool J-26486-A, used on the 2.0L OHC engines
