I have a 2006 pontiac vibe and I was wanting to know where exactly the heater element goes on the engine block when you plug it in the winter and what exactly I have to take off the engine, it already cost me 110 bucks for the heater element and it will cost 150 more if someone does it and I dont have that kind of money. Please help me.

Hello,

The factory block heater goes to the back of the engine (firewall side) towards the bottom.

You will have to remove a there is a plate that have to be removed in order to install the heater element.

I have included the installation instruction for the factory style block heater for your vehicle.

Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
