MY VANS COOLANT LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON WHEN THERE IS ALREADY COOLANT IN THERE. I AM TAKING IT TO A TUNE UP PLACE BUT I WANT TO KNOW WHAT A COOLANT PROBLEM MEANS DOES IT HAVE TO DO WITH AC/HEATING PROBLEMS WATER PUMP? A MECHANIC THAT REFILLED MY COOLANT SAID MY FANS WERE NOT WORKING, BUT WHEN HE CHECKED THE FUSES AND SAID THE FUSES MIGHT BE CAUSING THE FAN AND COOLANT PROBLEM. CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT THE PROBLEM COULD BE?

In my experience I have seen a lot of low coolant sensors (located below the filler neck in the radiator) go bad. Also check and see if the lower intake gasket is leaking coolant. You can see this under the throttle body or behind the power steering pump. Did the mechanic say the fuses are blowen. Most GM verhicals cooling fans will not turn on durning Idle. Easy way to see if they are working turn your defrost on or your AC on and see if the fans are turning on. If they are, they should be working ok.
