2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GT, Automatic, 95k miles, the abs and traction lights remain on at all times, the brakes seem to be workin fine. Although there is sometimes a grinding sound when brakes applied to come to a complete stop.

Get the codes read, may be a wiring harness or speed sensor problem from the ones I have seen. This will probably require testing with a scanner able to read the data stream to narrow down what is happening.

i recently had the same problem and when checked out by mechanic who ran codes, he told me that the ABS sensor was faulty. Had to have new tie rod end and wheel bearings installed, too.
