Hi there. I have a warning light that comes on occassionally, saying the following "service brake Apply Sensor". Is this anything to be concerned about? Brakes work great! However, my cruise control will no longer work. Pontiac wants to charge me nearly $100 just to put it on a diagnostic machine! I can live without cruise control and can ultimately get used to the darn idiot light if there is nothing major going on here. If it is something you recommend fixing - what kind of cost are we looking at? Thanks for your time.

Every thing is monitored by the ECM or the BCM
and by accessing them will help you pin point the troubled area
as for you what can you do here
1st I would check the fuses and make sure all OK
and also pull the tires and check the brake pads
you may be due for a brake job
good luck

Could you tell me where to locate the brake sensor module on a 2005 pontiac grand prix. My previous message stated the brake sensor warning light was coming on and my cruise no longer worked. However, from time to time my cruise does come on again until I (usually) hit a bump and then off it goes again. Could something be loose? If so, where do I begin to locate it. Apparently my brake sensor module was replaced before when I had similar problem with the cruise control. You mentioned before that it could be fuse. If that is the case why would the cruise work periodicly. Thanks for you help.
