2003 Pontiac Grand Prix Temp light

My car temp light keeps coming on when the car is stop at a stoplight or at the bank drive through. I have put coolet in it and I don't see anything on the ground.

Well its probably one of two things, either your thermostat needs to be replaced and or your engine coolant temperature sensor is weak or just no good. Oh and test your fans to make sure they are getting power and that they are plugged in all the way, sometimes they get loose.
