I hear a grinding noise in my engine when i reach about 5000 rpm and it only happens when my air conditioner is on. it is hard to describe the grinding noise but maybe you have run into a similar problem before, thanks for your help!!!

Hi:
If it only happens with the AC on at 5K RPM's, I'm going to say it has something to do the the AC compressor. 5K RPM's is somewhat high and if the AC clutch is engaged and has a bearing starting to go bad, that is where the noise may be coming from.

What is red line on the vehicle?
