My car shakes violently when I accelerate. It's especially bad when I'm starting from a complete stop or going up a steep hill. As soon as I let off the gas the shaking stops immediately. The car has new tires and it had the shaking problem before and after I bought the tires. The shaking seems to be coming from the front end because it is a lot less violent when you're sitting in the back seat. Please give me somewhere to at least start looking for the problem.

when I said front end I was just implying that the shaking was worse in the front end. When you sit in the back seat it's not nearly as bad. Yes the check engine light is on, but it's been on for a lot longer than the car has been shaking, and no they didn't find anything loose when they changed the tires. Thank you so much for responding to my question.
