The past few weeks my car has been giving me trouble whenever I put it into park. It wont always turn completely off (the ignition switch) and release my key. After I restart the engine (sometimes several times) go from drive to park repeatedly, it will then release my key. Please help.

Under the steering column is a cap about the size of a dime. Pop it off and stick a small phillips screwdriver up into it and turn key to "off" position. This is a manual release button. This is a temporary fix. You might check and see if the park/neutral switch by shifter needs adjusted or is bad. This is a little switch under the console of shifter and it tells the ignition that the car is NOT in gear. Hope this helps!
