THE FIRST DAY I BOUGHT THE GRAND PRIX WHEN I GOT HOME AND WENT TO LEAVE IN IT, THE CAR CRANKED, RAN ABOUT 5 SECONDS THEN CUT OFF, I REPLACED THE FUEL RELAY FUSE AND ALL WAS WELL. 5OOO MILES LATER WHEN I WENT TO CRANK IT IT DID THE SAME THING, I REPLACED THE FUSE WITH 4 OTHER ONES AND IT DOES THE SAME THING..RUNS FOR 5 SECONDS AND THEN STALLS. IT HAS FUEL PRESSURE AT THE CHECK VALVE ON THE INTAKE. CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE GIVE ME AN IDEA AS TO WHAT IS WRONG. MUCH APPRECIATED..THANK YOU!

When you turn the key On-Do you hear the fuel pump for 2secs-If so check the fuel pressure you don't wanna replace a good pump.

I had the similar problem with my 97"GTP and the problem was with my FUEL PUMP RESISTOR. It is located under the battery tray on the outside of the frame rail passenger side. It is about 3in. long and 1inch wide and ceramic, it has a 13mm bolt going through it. Hope this fixes your problem. By the way the only place that can get this part is a GM dealer, cost about $53. Good luck!
