Mileage: 150000, 3.8 V-6, auto transmission. New brakes/rotors, new CV drive axles and new struts at 140000 miles. Getting vibration and clunks from driver's side when coasting (still in gear) or at constant speed, if accellerating the vibration goes away. Vibration not effected by applying brakes. I put front end on stands and put in drive. Where axle goes into transmission it looks like it spins slightly out of round. I stopped left rotor from spinning, could feel clunking and rotor would not start spinning again except stopping and starting in sporatic intervals. The idle speed of engine didn't change. I stopped the right rotor from spinning and it changed the engine idle speed like the engine wanted to stall out. It would return to spinning when let go.

THIS SOUNDS INTERNAL, POSSIBLY A REACTION CARRIER WHICH IS COMMON FOR THE 4T65E TRANSMISSION, MY BEST ADVISE IS TO HAVE A GOOD TRANS SHOP CHECK IT OUT, MOST OF THEM DO A FREE DIAGNOSIS
