I had my service engine light come on. I hooked up the snap on scanner to the obd 2. It would not let me into the ECM. I replaced my computer and the light went off for about 6 months. Then it happened again. I thought I had a bad computer. So I got another one. It lasted 3 months. Im going to get another one. But on the second one when I replaced it I still could not get into the ECM with the obd 2. Before I replace this one is there anything that you know off that I can check

There's no way you should be replacing computers like that.

If the scanner couldn't access the computer, either the scanner was faulty, the OBD II port is damaged, or your wiring harness/connectors are broken, corroded or shorted. (Even a bad computer will show up on a scanner)

Instead of replacing the computer, take it out and have it tested. If it checks out, then it's probably your wiring harness.

Also, check you vehicle's ground. (Battery to engine/frame)
