hi, i have a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GT with roughly 132,000 miles. my problem is that everyonce in a while when i accelerate hard around a corner my engine(3800 series 2) will start making a sort of winding noise that is extremely loud insie and outside the car. i'll go home and let the car sit in the garage for a day and the next day i start it up its fine again, no acceleration noises. also, when in park and on the first acceleration of that day it will feel like my engine is almost stalling. parked, idleing and about 1100 rpms the engine will shutter and drop to about 700-900 rpms then jump back to 1300 rpms. it will do this for about 3 mins ,once everyday, or[img:6ecd8f31f2]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/350860_SSPX0032_1.jpg[/img:6ecd8f31f2] till i take off

Has the check engine light ever come on? Also, is there any change in performance when you hear the noise? Finally, when was the last tune-up?

Without the check engine light, I would say sensors are ok. Have you checked for vacuum leaks? Also, if you only hear the winding noise when you turn, have you checked wheel bearings?

Let me know.
