Will the engine and transmission from a gtp fit and operate in a gt

The simple answer is yes, however:

The supercharged engine uses totally different engine controls, wiring harness and PCM, so while you could fit the supercharged engine in the GT, you would have to replace many parts, including wiring harness, injectors, brackets, mounts and the list goes on. Also trans is heavier duty version.

Would be a big job, but if you have time and most importantly an intact drivetrain and harness from a doner car (GTP), well worth the extra HP :) .
