1999 Pontiac Grand Prix 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive

Hello; There is a wire hanging down inside my front tire, on the other side of the the car it has a similar wire that seems to go/ is connected to the area on the inside of the tire mechanism. what is it ? Is it ok to drive? thanks mike

The only wire that leads to your wheels are "Wheel speed sensors" that are used by the computer and ABS module.

Yours may have come loose from the retaining clip. (Sometimes they rust)

But also, are you sure that's a wire and not a rubber brake line??? Because that clip may have rusted also.

The wire for your wheel speed sensor can brake and cause problems with your computer and ABS system. But if your brake hose ruptures, you're in trouble.

Have this checked immediately.
