1999 Pontiac Grand Prix test port

Have a service engine soon light come on, and when I went to have it scanned they said that my test port was dead! Is there a fuse or something I need to check?

Yes the ALDL (assembly line diagnostic link) is a fused circuit.

Look at inside fuse box for ALDL or diagnostic fuse.

The test port is linked with the cigarette lighter fuse.
