I've been experiencing high RPMs when accelerating and really have no idea what to do. I've been told to change my plugs and wires and I have a friend who said the port for the transmission fluid is smaller than normal so changing my transmission filter and fluid would do the trick but I don't want to be fishing around for the answer. Basically, when I press the accelerator as much as possible my RPMs almost redline before it kicks into the next gear. However, it only happens when I floor it. Driving normally, all the gears shift beautifully. Any advice?
