Engine Cooling problem
1998 Pontiac Grand Prix 6 cyl Automatic 126700 miles

everything appears to be in good working order .. cooling fans on - new t-stat - new radiator cap - replaced water pump 1.5 yrs ago - flushed system last summer ....... problem: after starting the car and it reaches normal temp, it just keeps getting hotter!! the upper & lower hoses feel very tight (i've relieved the pressure and burped it many times) .. this has been going on for about 3 wks now - after abuot 5-10 minutes of driving, the temp is around 250 .. a friend suggested that maybe it was a gasket & to use a liquid sealant - i did .. nothing has changed except for now the radiator will not drain at all (which it was draining slowly before) ... i really really need help with this one ... PLEASE!!!!!!

Hi just?_us, Welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation

Could be the radiator is clogged-Start the vehicle and feel for cold spots on the font of the radiator, also if the water pump is circulating coolant thru the engine. Both okay and being bleed properly-get it block and pressure tested to find out more -if its the headgasket, cracked head or block and intake manifold leak-
