I have a 1998 Pontiac grand prix Gt with the 3800 engine. It stalls out while driving ive only noticed it at speeds of around 20- 30 miles per hour replaced all spark plugs, wires, alternater, battery. Ive heard stories of these models gaskets on the intake manifolds going bad because they were made of plastic? True or false? What else could it be? Thanks so much!

While true that the 3100,3400 and 3800 all had intake manifold gasket problems (caused by a bad intake manifold gasket design and DexCool coolant) you would see either a coolant leak or clouds of white smoke coming out exhaust.

Don't rule out fuel or ignition (module).

Modules can fail and cause car to stop running.

Most modules can be tested at autoparts stores.
