98 GrandPrix GTP, when started it hesitates. Once driving at low speeds, the vehicle doesn't shift out of 2nd gear and when i pull my feet of the ascelerator the rpm fluctuates to the point of stalling. Has a brand new transmission that i put 10,000 miles on it, I recently had it in the shop for the engine stalling after it was started. Very Recently i flush the radiator and coolant system. Has a brand new SLP exhaust system and i havent replaced the Catalyc Converter. Also if i tap the accelerator when at idle, the rpm drops to about 500 rpms. What can be causing these issues?

Hi Blkpana27, Welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation

Do you have a check engine light On and when was your last tune-up?? A badly needed tune-up will affect the transmission operation/shifting points

Lets try cleaning out the idle air control valve and EGR/PCV valves and test throttle position and manifold absolute pressure sensors, also clean the MAF sensor with an approved cleaner
