I've got a coolant leak that is only noticeable by an odor after being driven and spots being on the concrete where I park. The water pump is relatively new having been replaced about 6 mo. ago. The car does not overheat..I keep adding coolant to the resevoir bottle to compensate for what is being lost on the ground. There is no smoke coming from the exhaust, the motor oil does not look milky, and there is no leaking of coolant on the inside the passenger compartment. If there was a problem with a head gasket or an intake manifold would I have subtle symptoms or would I definitely know I was having problems? Also, I've used the recommended Dex-cool in the car ...could this be a problem? I've been reading a lot of negative things concerning Dex-cool and would like your opinion. Thanks!

i betcha your intake gasket is leaking. get a flashlight and look to the right of the throttle body, on top of the transmission bell housing. youll probably see the little valley under the throttle body full of coolant. they have finally updated the gasket to relieve this from happening again.
