Today after getting an oil change the mechanic said my rear calipers, both side were stuck, I asked him to look because I can hear a grinding from the right rear that intensifys whiles breaking. Okay, now for some history,my rotors have rust spots that make the car shake while breaking, the calipers are only two or so years old, I think. Keeping that in mind, my girlfriends dad thinks the rusty rotors wore the pads down to nothing, causing the grinding. Makes sense, last week they were squeaking. He says that I should be able to replace the rotors and pads and clean the caliper piston, he says the excess brake dust probably caused the piston to stick. I would like another opinion on this, thank you.
