I have a 94 pontiac gtp and when its cold outside and the car has been sitting all night, when I start it up it revs all the way up to 3000 then dies. It will do this untill the motor warms up then its fine the rest of the day. I have lost about 150 miles to a tank now. I only get 200 per tank. I had it in a shop and they said it was the upper intake gasket so they replaced it and that wasn't the problem. Its still does it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. please email me at hopeisfoundhere@hotmail.com

Revving up that high would have to be a large vacuum leak.

Have cooling system pressure tested to find any leaks.
