1994 Pontiac Grand Prix did start know it wont

Ok my car did start sounded like cadilitic converter was bad but I kept driveing it and the only way I could keep it started was to give it some gas then it got to the point to were I had to hold the gas peddle all the way down and black smoke would pore out of the tail pipes and if it as not worm it would die well I started doing maintnence on it I did an oil change and a fuel filter and now it wont start at all it will turn over but wont start and while im trying to start it my speed thamamitor will jump to 110 mph

Check if its a fuel or spark related problem by doing below:

Get a helper disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine atleast 3/16 away from ground-have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it
