1994 Pontiac Grand Prix

I have a 94 Gran Prix, 3.4. Has started acting like it is out of gas and quits. Plenty of gas in the tank. After letting it sit for a couple hours it will start right up first or second try until it happens again. There are times it will act like its running out of gas then surge like it just got a blast of gas to it and run just fine.
