1992 Pontiac Grand Prix Automatic 170000 miles

my car stop running like it was out of gas. We put gas in and it still would not start. We tried to jump it off and it still just turns over but does not start. We did get it to run for about 6 miles. It make popping noises when you try to start it. Somtimes it will start for just a min. Other times it wont start at all

Check the fuel pressure to rule out a failed fuel pump

I was told it is getting fuel pressure and we also changed the fuel filter.

But is it the correct fuel pressure specs? -EFI don't like low fuel pressure-check it with a fuel pressure gauge and comeback with the readings this is where we start
