I have a [b:7bb0a311af]2004 Pontiac Grand Am[/b:7bb0a311af] V6 with 78000 Km. For about the last 3 weeks now, I've noticed a "creeking" sound coming from my front driver's side brake after I apply the brakes. My brakes seem to be working fine, and there is no warning light on. I had it checked and the mechanic lubed the calipers (from what I understand anyway), which didn't help much. Rotors and pads are good. He said that it is a common problem for my car. It is just very annoying! Could something else be wrong? What can I do about it?

This could be an easy one...Sometimes rust or dirt on the rotors or pads might cause that type of noise. Take your car to a car wash or try yourself to clean any rust or dirt off your rotors. let me know if that doesnt help.
