I have quad 4 2.3L 95 pontiac grand am that I just bought a couple of weeks ago. It has 103,000plus, I am not getting any heat, I am getting cold air. Its not leaking coolant in my car. I was told that the heater core was bypassed. So could it be the heater core or the thermastat that is causing me not to get heat

If the heater core was by passed that is likely the reason. The heater core was prbably plugged or leaking and the reason it was bypassed.

The heater core is like a little radiator the the blower sends air across and provides heat.
