I have own a 1994 Pontiac Grand Am GT 3.1L V6 for the past 4 Years. For the last cople of months it has been giving me problems! The engine begins shaking as the car is in motion. I have bought and installed the upper right engine mount. Before giving me this problem I had the transmission rebuild. So Im not sure if it could be the transmission mount? Or another mount that the engine needs. And also my car has a high RPM when started. High Acceleration at 2000RPM. What can I possible do in order to lower the acceleration in order to have it normal (at 1000 RPM)?

How is the motor performance. Is it missing Does the idle go down after it starts? There are only three monts. The tranny mounts are on the bottom pass side and drivers middle. You have to remove the tires to see both. But if they were broke the motor would tilt and you would have a bad vibration while driveing. If the mounts are not broken check to see if you have any codes. No codes check the vacum leaks EGR valver gets stuck on these models. That will cause some of the symtoms And no codes will show up. Rule That I go by when there arte no codes it is a mechanical problem Something wore out internaly in the motor. Or broke These computers just manage the motor They suck and can cost you a lot of money. Good luck BB
