2005 Pontiac Grand Am radio light and dome light problems

Two problems:
1. My radio light has stopped working. The radio works fine and the fuse seems okay.

2. The deome light has an interesting problem. When I slow down and stop, the dome light comes on. It will turn off slowly when I resume driving. It only turns on when I am at a dead stop. Doesn't matter if I am in neutral or in drive. When I park it for the night the dome light stays on for a long period (1/2 hou) and then turns off.

Wow. Your stereo lasted a lot longer than mine did. I have an 03 Grand am with 75,000 miles. The back light went out about two months ago. I called AC Delco and give them the part number of my stereo, to see how much it would cost to replace it. They said it would cost 200 something dollars. I said NO THANKS! I can buy an aftermarket stereo with better features for less than that! What a rip off.

That's weird about your dome light problem. Mine just fell out of the ceiling; that's why I'm on right now. I can't figure out how to get it back in. Granted, I'm at work right now and only had about a minute to try and figure it out before my break was up. I have an idea though, now that I've had a chance to sit here and think about it.
