4 days ago I drove through a huge puddle. I was almost out when a big truck came the other way and made huge waves. The car stalled, we pushed it out of the puddle and waited 3 hours. It still wouldn't start so we towed it home. We jacked the front up and tried to start it and water came pouring out of the nuffler.
It keeps almost starting, it sounds like it really wants to start but it won't. When you give up, it makes a farting noise out of the muffler.
My husband insists that it needs more time to dry out. Does it really take this long to dry? Or is it hopeless? It there anything we can do to hekp it?

Ok I would get some mass air flow cleaner and clean the mass air flow. I would also get a new air filter as it will probable be soaked and take out all the spark plugs and make sure the plug wires are out of the way and crank it over then put it back together and it should start. Had a co-worker do this last week only my co-worker thought it would be fun to go puddle jumping in his car. Let me know how this goes.
