2002 Pontiac Grand Am coil pack or fuel pump

My car out of the blue woundn't start grinds but won't fire could this be coil pack or the more expensive fuel pump

Well the only way to determine that is to check the basics, fuel and spark. Also your mass airflow sensor could be dirty, that must be cleaned with airflow sensor cleaner, and must be done carefully. I will send you a couple of links to show you how to check your spark and fuel(videos).
