I have a strong gas smell inside the car after starting it on cold mornings and letting it idle with the heater/defroster blower on.

I don't see any gas leak and only a slight decrease in mileage, but with a new baby on the way the odor inside the car is worrisome. Any ideas on what to check?

Probably best to fill the tank and get it up on a lift to see what the shape of the lines and such are. May be a seapage through a line giving off vapors.

Possible rich condition from a bad regulator?
