My car has been having a problem when I start it up. It doesn't always happen when I start it up, it seems to go through cycles. After I start it, none of the gauges will work on the dash (the speed gauge, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, etc ) the radio doesn't play, the air conditioner doesn't work and the windows won't roll down. Also the head lights will not come on unless I manually turn them on. Then after a few minutes, sometimes a couple minutes sometimes longer, all those things will come back on and work again. After everything comes back on, the service car soon or service engine soon light will come on. Sometimes the car will go for awhile without doing this and then it will have problems again for a couple of weeks. Is this a problem with the computer?

Go to Autozone its a free public service and have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on.
