Hello my grandam needs to turn over too long to start. it helps if i pump the gas a couple of times while starting. the problem doesnt happen all of the time just when the engine is cool. today the car shut off when my wife was at a light. could this be the fuel pump going out or something? doesnt seem likely since this has been going on for probably 2 yrs. but i have no idea< there are no lights or anything, seems to me like it must be a fuel/air problem. help me please im stuck!

Check the fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge and comeback with the readings, if okay start by testing the coolant temperature sensor/idle air control valve/throttle position sensor
