Our car makes a 'vibrating' noise. It is worse when the car is cold and just started. Once it warms up and is driven a bit, it lessens. We have had one person tell us that the entire manifold and catalytic converters needs to be replaced. However, after do ing a bit of research, I believe that the only thing that needs to be replaced are the catalytic converters. What are your suggestions?

if what your describing is a metal on metal rattling or a soft rattling sound that goes away when you rev it up then it probably is a catalytic convertor problem or an exhaust heat shield problem.
