Engine Cooling problem
1999 Pontiac Grand Am 6 cyl

my car is a nightmare!engine runs about 210-then 280 and reservoir not holding fluids.Replaced thermostat, relay switches, and reservoir cap already about a week ago.Oil appears normal, put stop leak in it about a month ago.think I may have damaged it further, passes pressure test, when heat runs temp.is ok but heat comes and gos.do not see any visible leaks but it takes a gallon of water to get 5 miles to work and I have to pull over frequently.Do you think a coolant flush would help?maybe water pump?

Start with a compression test to rule out headgasket problem.
If OK, then perform a cooling system pressure test.

Could be a waterpump or many things, try the above first and post results.
