I have the grand am and have a water leak under the exhaust manifold in the middle of the car. I was told it was probley the water pump. How much of a problem is it to change. Can't see for sure what it is.

2.4L engine water pump is located under the exhaust manifold also the thermostat
I would also check the feed line for rust and corrosion

Stupid question but is it water or coolant? Because if it is water it is probably condensation from the evaporator case drain which is normal on all cars.
