1997 Pontiac Grand Am

1997 Pontiac Grand Am 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I lost my orginal key. The spare key only unlocks the doors and starts the vehicle. The trunk accidentally got locked from the inside and now the release handle does not open the trunk. My seat does not fold open. How can I open my trunk??

Thank you

Go to a gm dealer and ask them to cut you a master key from your factory key code problem solved.

I have the same car and was in a similar situation. My son flipped the switch inside the trunk that engaged the trunk release, making the release not work anymore. Unfortunately, the tumblers in the trunk lock were messed up so my key wouldn't work. We tried to go in by taking out the backseat but unfortunately, that didn't work. You pretty much have to get another key made. I don't know of any other options.
