Engine Performance problem
1996 Pontiac Grand Am 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic
while my buddy was replacing a faulty instrument panel I changed the brakes and oil. We attempted to start the vehicle to recharge the AC from underneath when we developed the problem keeping the engine running. He had replaced the fuel pump 3 months ago and the car was running fine when he stopped it to begin the work. We did notice a heavy gas scent when he parked the car. The car will start but then stall within 5 seconds
